THE JOURNEY OF GHM

Block and Extraction Selection
Block and Extraction Selection
Single Blades Block Cutting

Single Blades Block Cutting

The single blade block cutting process represents a significant advancement in stone quarrying methods. Unlike traditional techniques, this process utilizes a single blade cutting machine to cut and lift stone blocks. This approach is highly efficient, reducing both time and labor costs. The resulting product is of superior quality, characterized by greater hardness and density.

Block and Extraction Selection

The process begins with the careful selection of blocks for quarrying. Our team of experts meticulously assesses the stone quality, block size, and deposit location. Once the optimal blocks are chosen, they are extracted from the quarry using advanced methods such as drilling, blasting, and sawing with the latest machinery. The blocks are then transported to our state-of-the-art processing plant, where they are precisely cut into slabs and tiles.

Multi Wire Block Cutting Machine

Multi Wire Block Cutting Machine

Our processing facilities are outfitted with industry-leading gang-saw machines. Stone blocks are fed into these advanced machines, which feature a circular steel frame with multiple vertical chains. The blocks are placed on a rotating platform, and diamond-coated wire saws precisely cut the stone. Utilizing the latest technology, these state-of-the-art machines efficiently cut the blocks in a significantly short period of time.

Grinding

This process is essential for shaping and smoothing the surface of the stone. It involves applying a slurry of abrasive particles to the stone's surface, which is then worked over by a grinding wheel. The grinding wheel, mounted on a machine, uses a rotating motion to drive the wheel and apply force to the stone. As the abrasive particles in the slurry move across the surface, they remove material, thereby reducing the stone's size and altering its shape.

Epoxy Application

Epoxy coatings are widely used in stone processing plants to protect against moisture, abrasion, and corrosion. The application of epoxy coatings during stone preparation offers several advantages. It enhances resistance to stains and spills, increases durability and resistance to wear, improves the stone's appearance, and ultimately raises its value.

Polishing Finishing Types

Polished

To achieve a polished finish, the stone is typically ground down using a grinding wheel or other abrasive tools, along with a slurry of abrasive particles such as diamonds or silicon carbide. This process enhances the stone's natural beauty, making it more visually appealing.

Leather

Leather

A leather finish on stone is a textured, matte finish achieved by using abrasive materials to create a series of small, evenly spaced indentations on the surface. This finish is commonly applied to natural stones like granite or marble, imparting a unique, rustic appearance to the stone's surface.

Flamed
Flamed

Flamed

A flamed finish on stone is a rough, textured surface created by exposing the stone to high heat. This finish is achieved by applying a gas flame or another heat source to the stone, causing the surface to become rough and porous. This process can also alter the stone's color, adding to its unique appearance.

Box Packaging

Box Packaging

Packaging of stones is a critical step in our manufacturing and transit process. The stones are meticulously packed in robust boxes or containers made from durable materials such as cardboard or wood, ensuring protection during shipping and handling. The packaging is designed to accommodate the size and shape of the stones, securing them to prevent shifting or breakage during transport. Additionally, the boxes include padding or protective materials such as bubble wrap or foam for further safeguarding. For valuable stones, we employ additional security features, such as locks or seals, to prevent tampering or theft.

Dispatch

During the dispatch process, we meticulously prepare for shipping, select the appropriate transportation method, and coordinate delivery to the destination. The choice of transportation depends on the shipment's distance, the value of the stones, and other relevant factors. Depending on the destination, the stones may be shipped by road, rail, air, or sea. We coordinate delivery with the recipient to ensure the stones are delivered to the correct location promptly and securely.
